Customizing the Workspace

dt nexus offers a flexible workspace to improve your workflow customizing this workspace allows you to adjust the environment to better suit your needs, ultimately boosting your productivity here’s how to customize it effectively workspace structure the dt nexus workspace is organized into four fixed tabs located across the top of the interface preflight production post export the order of these tabs reflects the steps in a standard digitization workflow, ensuring a logical progression from initial preparation to final output these tabs are non rearrangeable and serve as the primary sections for accessing various tool widgets customizing tool widgets within each tab, you will find several tool widgets designed to assist with specific tasks you can customize these widgets to better suit your workflow expanding and collapsing widgets each widget has dual arrows in the upper left corner click these arrows to expand or collapse the widget, allowing you to manage the workspace more efficiently rearranging widgets to rearrange widgets within a tab, click and drag the widget to your desired position drop it in the new location to reposition it within the same tab detaching widgets widgets can be dragged out of the main dt nexus window when dragged out, they become free floating windows that can be positioned anywhere on your screen, allowing for greater flexibility and multi monitor setups reattaching widgets detached widgets can be reattached by dragging them back into the main dt nexus window position them within the desired tab to integrate them back into the main workspace side by side windows as of macos sequoia (15 0) you can drag a window of any application to the left or right side of the screen to auto align it to the edge and other active windows for example in the video below dt nexus is dragged to the left edge and capture one is dragged to the right edge the margin between these "tiled" windows can be turned on or off from \[macos > system settings > desktop & dock > windows > tiled windows have margins] if you wish to eliminate distractions from behind the open windows you are working with, we suggest the free app backdrop which can put up a solid gray (or other colored) backdrop
