Left and Right Shutters
The Film Stage has shutters on the left and right which allow the gating of extra light from the frame. These should be used in a broad sense, rather than to exactly limit the light on the film.
Top and Bottom Shutter Adjustment
The Film Stage has the ability to move the top and bottom surfaces to allow various sized film carriers or custom carriers to be used.
If these shutters are mis-aligned, the film carriers will not slide smoothly left and right. Loosed either the upper or lower surface, slide the carrier back and forth, and then re-tighten the knobs.
Secondary Diffuser
The secondary diffuser can be used to provide additional diffusion for oversized negatives, and is especially effective when paired with the 8x10 ANR Carrier, or larger custom carriers.
