Maintenance/Troubleshooting
Glass Cleaning
For initial cleaning, use a microfiber cloth and a lens cleaner or a 70/30 mix of 90% Isopropyl Alcohol and distilled water. For subsequent cleanings, use a microfiber cloth with a mixture of 70/30 mix of 90% Isopropyl Alcohol and distilled water.
Avoid glass cleaners that contain ammonia or blue dyes. The glass makes contact with collection materials, and could transfer these chemicals to them.
Hand Crank Resistance
If you notice resistance on the hand crank when the cradle is at the bottom of travel, slightly lift the cradle with one hand while turning the crank.
Avoid over turning the hand crank when the cradle is at the upper or lower extent of travel, as this can bind the cradle lifting mechanism.
If you encounter squeaking or a stiff handle through the upper range of travel, apply some PTFE Lubricant to the rear of the travel screw and raise/lower the cradle a few times to dispearse the lubricant evenly.
Cradle Movement
If you notice resistance in cradle movement, check that the thumb knobs aren’t overly loose. This can cause the retaining screw to drop into the rail and jam the cradle movement.
If the resistance doesn't change after adjusting the knobs, apply a PTFE Lubricant to the rail, in front of and behind the cradle.

Replace Hinges/Glass
As with any glass product, the Deep Gutter glass is vulnerable to scratching. To maximize the glass panes life span, we recommend operators remove any metal or Diamond jewelry from their hands and wrists while using the V-Cradle.
Replacement glass can be purchased with or without hinges. If you order glass without hinges, be sure to save the hinges from your current glass.
Make sure the glass panel is sitting under the spring thumb lock
Remove the glass spring arm lock pin (1) by pushing in the blue button and pulling out the lock pin.
When the lock pin is removed, the spring arm can spring up. It will be held down under the load of the glass sitting under the spring thumb lock.
The lock pin can now be used as a hinge for the glass panel. Please insert the lock pins into the glass and cradle hinge hole (2). IMPORTANT: Please make sure once the lock pin is inserted, rotate the pin until the blue buttons pop up. This means the pin is fully locked.
