Standalone Mode: Connecting Stellars via Ethernet
Stellars can be used on their own (each light functioning wholly independently), or they can be connected by Ethernet so their behavior is synchronized and all units can be controlled from any Control Dial.
Required Parts
- 2+ DT Stellars
- Ethernet cables
- Wireless Trigger/Receiver if Flash Mode is required (not supplied)
Steps
Ensure the mode switch on all units is set to “Standalone.”
Power on the first unit and connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the unit.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the second unit, then power the unit on. Continue until all units are daisy-chained together.
As settings are adjusted in one unit, the other connected units will mirror these settings. In the case of asymmetrical output settings, changing the output in one light will change the output of the other lights the same amount while maintaining the ratio between lights.
If lights have been adjusted independently and are connected via Ethernet afterwards, the independent settings will hold until the settings on any of the connected units are adjusted, in which case the other units will adopt the new settings and overwrite previous settings.
