required tools 3/16” allen wrench 5/32” allen wrench phillips screwdriver required parts 2x dt stellar light 8x atom gemini mounting 10 32 ⅜” socket head cap screws gemini integration kit gemini bracket gemini mounting collar (male and female halves) with included ¼ 20 screw gemini angle adjustment lever gemini back brace gemini bezel gemini diffusion panels gemini l shaped power adapter the gemini lighting system connects two dt stellars to form a single 99cm (39”) wide light a full length bezel and diffusion panel create a single unified light source gemini integration kits come with both the 99cm (39”) prodiffusion panel and the 99cm (39”) crystalclear panel for more information on the two diffusion panels, see exchanging stellar diffusion panels docid 5uiqybq716 nxugrbnll steps before beginning installation, remove the stellar hoods and/or the atom pin, if attached a large clean working surface and a container for screws and parts is suggested remove the four atom/gemini mount 10 32 ⅜” socket head cap screws from each stellar unit set aside for later remove the three bezel thumb screws and bezels from both dt stellars return the one thumb screw that is adjacent to the atom/gemini mount for safe keeping as this is not used in the gemini store the 19” stellar bezel and diffusion panels for safe keeping invert one of the dt stellars so that the illumination panels are facing the same direction while the power and ethernet ports are adjacent attach the female mounting collar to one light, and the male mounting collar to the other note both collars are slightly rectangular, not square so if the screw holes do not line up neatly, rotate them 90º position the dt stellars next to the gemini bracket so that the illumination panels of the stellars and the gemini bracket all face forward as in the diagram release the angle adjustment lock by lifting up on the lever insert the female mounting collar into the gemini bracket first, then insert the male mounting collar ensure both sets of clearance holes and threaded holes on the mounting collars are aligned with both collars positioned in the bracket, rotate the bracket forward so that the groove reveals the top facing clearance hole and threaded hole secure with the provided ¼ 20 socket head cap screw rotate the bracket back to reveal the second clearance hole and threaded hole pass the angle adjustment lever through the groove on the back of the bracket and into the threaded hole of the mounting collar turn clockwise to tighten the angle adjustment lever and lock the mounting collars in place remove the installed feet and store them for future use they are used when using an individual stellar on a flat surface with the panel pointing up, for film scanning or other transillumination purposes with the dt stellars attached to the bracket by the mounting collar, attach the gemini back support eight ¼ 20 screws are secured to the back panel, two on either side (marked in green), while six flathead phillips screws run along the top (marked in yellow) place the gemini diffusion panel of choice over the combined stellar lights followed by the gemini bezel replace the bezel thumb screws along the long edges of the gemini the accessory panel slots should be on either end of the gemini to replace the diffusion panel when completed, the gemini bracket rotates on the collar mount with several detents to assist with repeat positioning secure the angle of the light by tightening the angle adjustment lock when cabling a dt gemini it is suggested to use the l shaped power adapter on the bottom facing power input this will direct the power cable downward, which will also reduce tension on the port from the dangling power cable securing the power cable and ethernet cable to the c stand or gemini bracket using a cable tie is recommended for proper cable management
