while the dt stellar is a continuous light source, the function of this tool is the same as a photographic flash to deliver a temporary increase in light for a capture so that the level of light is more ergonomic between captures dt elected to use the word “flash” in order to more easily convey this functionality steps ensure the mode switch is set to “standalone” and the unit is powered on when powered on the stellar enters the continuous light coarse adjustment setting the indicator ring turns light blue, every third led is yellow indicating one stop of light press the control dial twice to enter the flash light coarse adjustment setting the indicator dial turns pink, every third led is yellow indicating one stop of light rotate the control dial clockwise to increase power by ⅓ stop increments and counter clockwise to decrease power by ⅓ stop increments across an eight stop range press the control dial once to enter the flash light fine adjustment setting the indicator ring turns yellow rotate the control dial clockwise and counter clockwise to increase and decrease power respectively by 1/24 stop increments while in fine adjustment, a maximum range of +/ ⅓ stop is possible to exit the fine adjustment setting, press the control dial once or wait three seconds to return to the previous menu if the coarse adjustment setting is changed after a fine adjustment has been made, the fine adjustment setting will reset, removing any 1/24th of a stop adjustments
