dt nexus will check at startup for updates and prompt the user to optionally update their version this is only performed if internet access is available notably, this is only executed starting on the second launch of the software, so on a clean install of an older version you will only receive the update notification the second time you run the software note that updates are rolled out to the user base over the course of several days, so an update notification may not appear to you and another user at the same time
