if you're sharing images with dt docid 6yfcofsmxk4gawy6 wgdg the following terms of service will be presented on screen we repeat them here to make it easy to review before/without having dt nexus software installed we have made every effort to write these in plain english and keep them a readable length because we think it's important for users to actually read and understand them if you or your legal team have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us at info\@digitaltransitions com heritage image digitization ai crop & straighten development license agreement this license agreement ("agreement") is entered into by and between the contributor ("you" or "your") and digital transitions (dt, “we, “us,” or “our”), the entity responsible for developing artificial intelligence tools for heritage digitization, effective as of the date of your acceptance of this agreement purpose the purpose of this agreement is to grant us the right to use your contributed images ("images") for the sole purpose of training and testing our artificial intelligence model (or models) designed for cropping heritage digitization images ("ai crop & straighten model"), as described in the project overview this use will improve the quality of our model for images similar to the image(s) you provide, thereby making the tool more effective for your institution license grant you hereby grant us a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the images solely for the purpose of developing, testing, and validating our ai crop & straighten model this license does not include the right to use the images for marketing purposes, resale, public display, or any other purposes not explicitly stated herein image use and security we commit to use the images solely for the purpose of training and testing the ai crop & straighten model store the images in a secure, dedicated r\&d storage area with access limited to personnel directly involved in the ai crop & straighten model development not share, redistribute, or use the images for any purpose other than as described in this agreement intellectual property rights this agreement does not transfer any intellectual property rights from you to us, except for the limited uses described granted herein representations and warranties you represent and warrant that you have the full legal right and authority to grant the use of the images described in this agreement the images are your original work or you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to use the images as described in this agreement limitation of liability in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to this agreement, whether under contract, tort, or any other theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages general provisions amendment this agreement may only be amended in writing signed by both parties governing law this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which dt operates, without regard to conflict of law principles entire agreement this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding its subject matter and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral by clicking "i agree" below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement
