Pairing (Job Identifier Field)
1min
dt nexus identifies that two raw files are a fusion pair by writing the same uuid4 to the job identifier metadata field in both files at the time of capture this is carried over automatically into the fused tiff so that a given tiff can be traced to its fusion pair this uuid (universally unique identifier) means that raw fusion pairs can be renamed, moved to another folder, or another computer, and still be identified as a fusion pair if that is attractive to your workflow, we suggest also enabling capture one > preferences > image > eip packing which means settings such as lcc (even fielding), crop, and the uuid will be maintained as you move or rename the raw files if, for any reason, a fusion pair has lost its uuid4 (e g you are not using eip packing and you rename the raws outside of c1), then you can manually add a matching uuid4 to both raws you can generate a novel uuid4 here https //www uuidgenerator net/version4 in some cases you may need to restart dt nexus and capture one in order for the new pairings to be properly recognized for a fusion pair to be recognized correctly the sapphire capture must have a date time stamp that is earlier than the white capture this is automatically the case when using dt nexus to capture a fusion pair, but in some advanced use cases you may need to edit the time stamp of the raw file in order to force this to be the case; you can adjust this time in capture one > metadata > date > … and make a relative change to one or more files at the same time
