Setting Work Light in Continuous Mode
1min
in flash mode the power setting is specific to the power the light goes to during capture, so changing the value does not result in an immediately visible change a separate control for the working light that is always on is below the power setting and allows low, medium, and high settings this setting is both for ergonomic reasons (reducing eye strain by making the lights less bright when they aren’t capturing), and to help with proofing when comparing an object under lights to a monitor it is important that the monitor and lights are at a similar absolute brightness note that setting the working light setting too low will reduce the quality of live view (noise increases in live view the lower the amount of light it is seeing) and reduces the accuracy and speed of autofocus for this reason, medium is typically a good compromise between operator ergonomics and the utility of live view if you are using live view in a frequent manner
